It was take your kid mountain biking last weekend! We had a great time and it culminated with a bike race. Remick missed his age group's race, and joined the 6 & 7 year olds. Makili was so proud that he won his heat, BUT the kid who was originally in first fell off of his bike. It was a sweet moment in the car when Makili sadly admitted, "maybe I should have stopped and helped him." (I credit Lightning McQueen with that sentiment.) In the finals for his age group he won third, won a bike light, and got to be on the "podium!" He was so excited!
