Warms me

When I was little there was nothing absolutely nothing I lived more than exploring creeks. Watching hordes of kids do the same at koviashuvik was oh so fun.

Who knew

I have never started a fire with magnifying glass in my whole life. Who knew that it actually worked. The things you learn with kids.

Oh, Remick

Yes this is the same child.  The "Klingon" look is all too familiar around here.  But how can you not laugh a little even when he is the naughtiest little thing there ever was.

A While Back

About a month ago (that's how often I download pictures from the camera) we spent a weekend in Newport with my best bud from college, Camille.  We loved on Hugo, her babe, watched a St. Patty's day parade, ogled European money, and generally just had a lovely time.  They live a very jet-setting lifestyle, and am so glad to see them as often as I am able, which isn't enough.  Love.

Friends and Fair Weather

Gotta love friends that wear kilts and our pretend urban atmosphere:)

This picture give me a glimpse into awkward teenagerness.  The boys trying to put the moves on the girls and their discomfort with it.
 Wall-scaling!
 Baby cuteness.

 Cheap thrills.

And we finished of the days with shared mac and cheese.  What more could one ask for?

My little helper

It used to be Makili helping me out in the garden. But now Remick is the one who keeps me company as I "do surgery" (transplant seedlings) in the greenhouse. He regularly checks his garden to see what is growing: one flower, garlic, onions, and a few flowers. He finds homes for the worms and makes fun of me for talking to my plants. I can't understand why he doesn't believe me when I tell him that it helps them grow.
