Just the three of us...

These days have been sweet and comfortable. Sleeping in, having Makili come and jump in bed with us when he wakes up (he's been sharing a room with Grammy, so she pulls him out of bed and he comes into our room without me getting up.) He'll lay there with us, typically with a car or tractor in hand, and give us intermittent hugs as he drives his vehicle over our arms and covers. His new hugging method is the near-choke hold, where he wraps both arms around you neck and then wants to lay on your face. Terribly sweet, though not terribly comfortable. Yesterday I heard him conjugate a verb for the first time. He lost a car in bed and was saying over and over "find car." Raph picked it up and handed it to him and he said "Daddy found car." I was impressed. It really is hard to imagine adding another munchkin to the mix, even with Grammy here to entertain Makili half the time (and she does all the dishes and vacuumed out our car and sweeps, and...)
